Since I first picked up a pencil, I have thought of art, whether its visual or musical or in any of its many other forms, as magic. To be able to express oneself abstractly, poetically with one’s own artistic eye and it’s particular vision. To make something “from scratch” or in some cases scraps, is magic.

On my Latest collection,
Using mostly recycled spice jars, similar glass jars and gift tissue, I have been building my unique and functional sculptures on and off throughout the last 30 years. From previous exhibits to word of mouth and loyal collectors, my art has found its way to various corners of the globe. I am excited to share the latest incarnation in the next series ready for exhibit called Secret Tribe. It is not only a nod to my first solo art show, in 1999 at A Gathering of the Tribes Gallery in the Lower East side of Manhattan, but also a statement on the organic creative process and the nomadic culture of survival as an artist.
