My name is Aileen Reyes, more known as AileenCreates. I am a self-taught multidisciplinary artist. I am based in San Diego, and was born and raised in New York City. My work has ranged from poetry, photography and ink drawings to sculptural pieces, logos, murals, and wearable art. A consistent element throughout my creative journey has been the use of found and recyclable materials. This is a choice that stems partly from instinct and survival that in turn fuels my creativity and continuous learning, resulting in art that often breaks conventional boundaries.

Being a self-taught artist presents interesting challenges, but it also fosters a natural flow of resourceful creativity, that shapes much of my art. Iam always working to fulfill the drive I have to create and never have a shortage of new ideas. I work between across diverse mediums depending on the project and intent
